Known as Kimi no Tame Nara Shineru in Japan (Feel the Magic^TM XY/XX in the US), Project Rub^TM makes full use of the unique control system of the Nintendo DS, a characteristic rarely seen in a launch title for any platform. Merging cutting-edge artistic style through the use of silhouette images with gameplay to die for, Project Rub should win you over in a heartbeat.

Project Rub^TM requires the player to switch between control methods, using the touch-sensitive second screen and microphone - switching between the Nintendo DS stylus, screaming, and even blowing to control the actions of the character. Players will also use the stylus to prod goldfish from a man's stomach, or rigorously rub the screen to save the mysterious 'Rub Rabbits' from disappearing beneath some quicksand.

Players find themselves in the shoes of a young man smitten at first sight with a jaw-dropping babe. Too shy to simply ask her out, our hero recruits the services of the Rub Rabbits, to help to win her affection.

Like nothing you've ever played before, every new control method of the Nintendo DS is required. Through the touch screen players will save the girl from rampaging bulls, a swarm of evil bees and even divert a yacht on a collision course.

Project Rub is scheduled to launch on the same day as the Nintendo DS in Q1 2005.

The Mario 64 DS rom dump reported a few days ago has been said to be fake, however a dump of the Metroid Primt demo card was released last night and seems to be the real deal, you can read more about it ... here...

Another .nds fie has turned up on a few ftp sites. This time its super Mario 64 DS (SM64DS-R3.7z) a 9meg file which most likely is fake, but we've added it to the release list anyway, then time will tell... :-)

Yet another update of the EZ3 software, now version 1.02, with the following fixed/added (taken from the manufacturer's website):

• changed display and input method of cheat
• add online update
• fixed 0432 display error
• fixed time display on PC client

An early version of the Cobra bios for the ViperGC bios has been released, but whether this stuff actually works or is completely bull is yet to be confirmed.

I've decided not to make any bootchip bios'es available on 64scener yet, mostly due to the fact that almost no one owns a gamecube bootchip yet anyway.

Yeah! finally some DS news. Well you've probably heard Nintendo saying that playing old Gameboy and Gameboy Color games on the Nintendo DS is not possible, and the game carts doesn't even fit.

Well according to this page ( http://www.livejournal.com/users/io_burn/23021.html ) it's actually possible to modify the DS to play GB and GB color cartridges with only a little cutting and soldering.

Check out the page for more details. Oh and check out what my un-modded DS wrote when an old GB cart was inserted (plastic shell was removed). "There is a DS Option Pak inserted" I wonder what that is for?

UPDATE: The same thing happens if the GBA copier called G-Bank is inserted and that copier is therefore not compatible with the Nintendo DS (You can not play GBA games on the DS using this flash cart).
