Not a whole lot is known about Smurfs for the N64, as far as I know, no screenshots or detailed information
about the game ever surfaced. When IGN asked Infogrames about the game back on September 28 1999, all Infogrames
ad to say was that the game was still on track.
Here's what IGN wrote:
Surprisingly, the game is being targeted at an older demographic than that of the PlayStation take on
the license, which caters to an age group under eight. While the PlayStation title will be ready for
release in time for the holidays, the Nintendo 64 incarnation won't see the light of day until mid-next
year. In fact, Smurfs (64) is so early on that Infogrames was unable to divulge any details or
screenshots for the game.
The game is expected to make full use of Nintendo 64's polygonal powers with fully 3D environments
(as opposed to the PlayStation game's Pandemonium-esque quasi-2D style). It will, of course, also
feature all of beloved characters from the cartoon show of the same name, including Papa Smurf,
Hefty, Greedy, Vanity, Smurfet, Jokey and more. Are you salivating blue yet?
