Odyssey was the work of Art Cestaro, a man with a plan and ambitions of making it big. They started out with some Amiga titles and eventually turned to the NES, while also doing some contract work for various platforms.
Equilibrium is probably not known to most and their days of game development were also short lived, before switching to making software for development. They managed to ship a most of their games while some went unreleased and even unnoticed.
